38 Signs that Prove You Might Be an Entrepreneur?

Entrepreneurs are unique people, go-getters and they act differently from others. They draw on personality traits, habits and mindset to come up with the ideas that straddle the line between insanity and genius. Look around you carefully you will find a lot of thinkers, philosophers, researchers and judgmental people around you, just because they or you have an idea to replace gasoline in cars does not qualify you to be an entrepreneur.

Ever wondered if you are cut out for business, well it is easy to check through the following list below and check out the traits and indicators that should help you determine what you are cut for.

  1. You come from a background of rebellious nature who cannot work for someone. This is a controversial one as this is not true many a time, including myself, when my father and people around me were all were employed in someone company.
  2. You hate status quo. You are the person who asks a lot of question, a person who is willing to strive to make things better and willing to take action on it.
  3. Self-confident and I feel this is obvious. Have you ever met any pessimistic or self-loathing entrepreneur?
  4. Passion without a doubt is most important, many a time you lose money and when you see the green stuff missing, it is your passion that fuels your aim.
  5. Never give up attitude. You may get slow or meet the roadblocks, lose a fortune, but a true entrepreneur never gives up.
  6. Make unlikely partnership out of thin air, well a lot of it is driven from your point 4 – passion.
  7. Spend more time on research than with your spouse. Well, I feel I did that too many times and I am not proud of it and trying hard to change this habit.
  8. Another catchy one popular choice – you got dropped out of college like Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg. I know a dozen of them who indeed dropped out of college and are nowhere in their career so a thin connection with this one in my opinion
  9. You always loved authority or leadership position. Most experienced people know the pain of such position and those who are aware shy away from such problem magnet tenacious jobs
  10. You believe that there is more to job security, it is the control over your fate and the hard work that pays.
  11. You are competitive to the core and ready to lose and try again.
  12. If you are a programmer you check Github when you wake up in the morning.
  13. You’re unemployable and there is nothing wrong in that. Life skills are more valuable than office politics commonly found at 9-to-5 gigs.
  14. You work more than 100 hours a day and love your lifestyle
  15. You want control over the company and most importantly your life. You like to oversee most things that go on at your company.

  18. The word “pitch” no longer has an association with baseball.
  19. You have realized that the Best seats in the coffee shop is the one with power outlets.
  20. You are a logical thinker with lot of ideas to fix problems and to change the overall situation.
  21. You are a people person and love to communicate with people.

  35. Ideally, a successful entrepreneur has the support of someone dear – family or friends.
  36. You love to read and do market research. Knowing new things is your passion.
  37. You are surrounded by quality people and not leeches who will bring you down. If you not surrounded by good guys change your environment quickly, I have been a victim of this issue and I can tell you this is one of the biggest issue that cost me a fortune.
  38. You believe the time is worth more than the money.

These traits are something that I have noticed over a period of time. You have some don’t worry you are in the path for entrepreneurship. And I read it every day on my coffee mug – “Entrepreneurship is not a hobby it is a lifestyle”.
